Creating soap began as a hobby for me and soon,
progressed into a passion. Concocting
batches with therapeutic aromas and healing
ingredients brought much satisfaction. The purity of
making nourishing soaps the traditional way in my own
kitchen was greatly treasured. My husband's creativity,
hard work, and woodworking studio furthered
production with molds, cutting devices, and curing and
storage shelves. Soon enough, our home was
overflowing and sharing our treats with the community
was an obvious next step. Lotus Handmade Soaps
was born and vending at our local hangout started a
buzz and sparked a public interest. The precious
blessing of word of mouth contributed to our young
business and to our soaps being sold at locally owned
shops. We are now grateful to have a website and
thank everyone for the love, encouragement, and
support, especially our friends.
On a late night, impromptu visit to a Buddhist temple,
the monks graciously invited us in and kindly conveyed
the message to "enjoy your life". The experience was
inspirational and "ENJOY YOUR LIFE" became our
mantra and our mission!
